Today, the students got to reflect on themselves and their families through the use of the I Am Home Poems that they created by themselves. The students spent most of the morning working on their poems, and they then wrote their poems onto posters to present. At around 10:30 AM, they went outside until 11:05 AM to play. At 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, the students took their lunch break before returning to class. After their afternoon break, which started at 2:30 PM and ended at 2:45 PM, they participated in the marshmallow challenge, which consisted of trying to build the tallest and strongest structure while using only marshmallows, spaghetti, tape, and string. The winners of the marshmallow challenge got prizes to take home. When the marshmallow challenge was finished, the students started their STEM projects on cultivation, where they all planted their own wildflowers, which will continue to grow throughout the duration of the camp. The students were dismissed at 4:00 PM.
